Recognizing and deactivating IEDs are crucial skills that must be fundamentally present in the training of explosive ordnance disposal/defense personnel. The ignition devices of IEDs are a particularly dangerous component, as they trigger the explosive process. A comprehensive understanding of the different types of IED ignition devices is therefore crucial when it comes to identifying, isolating and eliminating ignition devices. These non-functional replicas are therefore essential for regular training and further education. Each of these dummy detonators contains a switch, a power source and an inert detonator.
