Rigaku has announced the launch of the CQL Max-ID portable 1064 nm Raman analyzer. Based on the proven ResQ CQL platform, this Raman spectrometer provides border patrol, military and law enforcement officials with advanced features and benefits that maximize chemical threat analysis. In addition to the touchscreen, the new tactical design makes it easy to simplify operation when wearing chemical protective suits (CSA).
Improved algorithms combined with an integrated “recipe database” and advanced 4C technology expand the identification of substances whose possible combinations make it possible to manufacture hazardous substances. With an extensive on-board library of over 13,000 substances, the CQL Max-ID reliably identifies drugs, explosives, chemical warfare agents precursors (CWAs), hazardous chemicals, narcotics, cutting agents, pesticides, steroids – in powders, gels, mixtures or liquids.
