Itemiser® 5X Narcotics & Explosives DetectorReliable substance identification
The Itemiser®5X is the newest and most advanced explosives and narcotics trace detection instrument in Rapiscan Systems’ established Itemiser family. It uses optimized detection libraries and advanced software algorithms that make it the ideal solution for detecting narcotics and explosives in the nanogram range. Non-radioactive ionization occurs via UV irradiation and is not subject to restrictions by any regulatory agency. Substance identification is performed by comparing the measured values with an integrated database, which can be expanded to suit the specific application. Areas of application for the Itemiser®5X include passenger and cargo screening, prisons, customs and borders, law enforcement, event security, and ports and critical infrastructure.
