The M5 Hornet is a powerful EOD disruptor capable of neutralizing a wide range of threats. These include both conventional threats, such as unexploded ordnance (UXO), and unconventional threats, such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The system is cost-effective to maintain because all firing modes and projectiles are compatible with just one type of barrel and cartridge.

OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE AND COMPATIBILITY
The M5 Hornet is based on the globally proven RE70M3+ Disruptor, which has been optimized through targeted improvements in performance and ease of maintenance. A particular strength is its backward compatibility with currently used CTSL disruptors, allowing existing projectiles and consumables to continue to be used. Chemring Technology’s recoilless disruptor systems are used worldwide and have proven their reliability in numerous applications.

RECOIL-FREE VERSATILITY
Thanks to its recoil-free design, the M5 Hornet is ideally suited for use on UGV and UAV platforms. All recoilless disruptors can be used with both DTSL detonators and electronic firing systems.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION AND EASY TRANSPORT
The system can be mounted on a continuously adjustable aluminum tripod, which allows for precise alignment with various threat scenarios.

SPOT X-DiS INTEGRATION
Alternatively, it can be installed directly on the Boston Dynamics Spot mobile robot using, for example, ELP’s innovative Spot X-DiS Disruptor integration. The entire standard M5 Disruptor kit is compact in design and comes in a lightweight, easy-to-carry soft bag.
